Snapshot
- Bridging Dev (since 2025) ↔ Ops (since 2016): I bring solid hands-on experience in operations technology (OT) and system integration (SI) into my software engineering work. I work iteratively, with a focus on testing and documentation, with a strong focus on operational requirements—reproducibility, monitoring, backup/restore, and clear documentation.
- Background since 1999: autodidactic work in project- & event-management, networks, digital cross-media production, Web-/CMS-Practice (Frontend/Template-Customizing, HTML/CSS, partially JS/PHP) and technical problem-solving.
- Proven responsibility: IT Lead (hands-on, technical) · external specialists coordination / Digital & Media, network design, server/client ops, security & backup concepts, high-demand event/B2B/B2C setups.
- Business ↔ Tech bridge: translated leadership/customer goals into implementable requirements and reliable operations.
- Software engineering (in training): building up Python/Java; my strongest lever right now is DevOps via a CI/CD pipeline with continuous deployment, plus system integration (SI) + operations (OT) + automation (IoT, scripting/workflows).
- Automation focus exemplary: security-driven ops automation in Shell/Bash — expanded to include API-based alerting (SMS/RCS) for logging and notification at critical states.
Fast Scan
- Web/CMS practice (client projects): Delivery and maintenance of small to mid-sized web projects — including CMS work (e.g., WordPress / TYPO3 in an editorial role), frontend/template work, polished CSS animations, and e.g. PHP version upgrades on production shop systems.
- Hands-on Home-Lab Ops: I run on-prem Linux services with zero-trust access from outside: reproducible setups & deployments, monitoring/alerting, and segmented Borg backup orchestration with automated offline storage.
- System integration & automation: shell, APIs, workflows, reproducible environments
- DevOps foundations: Docker/Compose, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD, GitHub Actions), staged deployments, rollbacks (project-dependent), (CMS) web projects.
- Security mindset: zero-trust-oriented thinking, least privilege, secrets handling, defense-in-depth
- Platforms: Linux + Windows (incl. WSL where useful), Windows Server (basics)
- Storage & Backup Ops: Synology in a business environment (administration & operations): access control & sharing, backup/restore, updates, and documented operational procedures.
